ABOUT

Jess Gordon is a singer, songwriter, and music producer from Long Beach, CA. She graduated with her B.A. in Psychology and Social Behavior in 2017 and completed her Masters of Music in Commercial Music at California State University, Los Angeles in May 2021.

Jess’s alt-pop sound blends the story-telling, singer-songwriter roots of artists such as Sara Bareilles and Holly Humberstone with the electronic excitement of bands such as Coldplay and Walk the Moon. Her music aims to share the stories of the quiet, fierce voices who have hearts ready to be laid bare. Recognition for Jessica’s music includes being the 2019 Pop category winner, 2020 Pop category finalist, and 2021 Pop and Soft-Rock category finalist of the Songdoor International Songwriting Competition, “Best Pop Song,” finalist of the Fall 2020 World Songwriting Awards, and semi-finalist of the 2019 International Songwriting Competition.

Her songs “Loud Enough” and "Take Me Down" have been considered for placements with Netflix, and her music is featured in the Sync Shoppe Music Library. She also currently has a licensing deal with Jam In the Van. Jessica is currently collaborating on new music with other Los Angeles based musicians and continuing to write, produce, and place her own music.

As a teaching professional, Jessica strives to help students find and master their voice, providing the tools they need to learn to incorporate authenticity, insight, and identity into their work. Her teaching specialties are Songwriting, Music Production, Music Business, and Recording Arts. She is currently teaching at Saddleback College, Moorpark College, and Los Angeles Harbor College.

Jess is currently available for co-writing sessions. She is also available for hire as a producer, mixing engineer, or as the writer for your next song.
